An actor who accused Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances when he was 14 recounted the incident to a New York City jury on Friday, testifying that Spacey climbed on top of him in bed. So he felt helpless.
“I was frozen,” Anthony Rapp said on the second day of the civil trial in Manhattan. “I was hanging under it. I didn’t know what to do.”
In a halting voice, Rapp testified that Spacey, then 26, had invited him to a party at his Upper East Side apartment while the two actors were starring on Broadway in 1986. Rapp, 50, came forward with the allegation in 2017, when he was the first of others to widely shut down Spacey’s career with numerous claims of inappropriate touching or sexual advances.
