The 96-year-old British monarch, who handed away peacefully at her property in Balmoral on Sept. 8, was honored simply moments after information broke of her loss of life. Bells tolled at church buildings and cathedrals throughout the globe—together with St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, England, as they shared to social media—as soon as a minute in a tribute to the 96 years of Her Majesty’s life.
