Quinta Brunson, Olivia Wilde to be Honored by Women in Film Los Angeles

Women in Film, Los Angeles has announced the 2022 honorees for its annual gala, this year celebrating Quetta Brunson. A female king Director Gina Prince-Bythewood and Don’t worry darling Director Olivia Wilde and writer Katie Silberman.

The WIF Honors, which will be held at the Beverly Hilton on October 27, will see Crystal Awards for Advocacy presented to all honorees, and will feature a conversation with Brunson. Abbott Elementary Co-star Sheryl Lee Rolfe, Prince-Bythewood was repped by Viola Davis and Wilde and Silberman in sit-down chat. The Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award, which was launched last year and named for its inaugural recipient, will be presented by Fonda to Michael Coyle.

“In a year where regressive trends are taking their toll on entertainment industry workers.
And people across our country, WIF is honoring women who embrace this toughness.
WIF CEO Kristen Shaffer said in a statement. “As WIF prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, we are focused on ensuring that the progress we have made over the past five decades is not lost.”

WIF’s annual benefit supports its educational and philanthropic programs and its advocacy for gender equality throughout the industry. This year’s WIF Honors will celebrate women who are leading the way: laying the groundwork for making Hollywood better with their intelligence, vision and tenacity.

The WIF Honors Committee, co-chaired by Monica Levinson and Talatha Watkins, consists of Esther Chang, Michelle Lee, and Ida Zanetti. “The storytellers in this year’s WIF honoree class are beacons for the kind of creativity and extraordinary leadership that makes a real impact on our industry,” Levinson and Watkins said in a statement. Not only have they been inspired by their work, but also with the change they are effecting behind the scenes.
